Visit to Marina Barrage

Hi 萱萱， I was showing you and 妹妹 some of the old photos and videos on this blog. 

The little snippets of yesterday really brings back lots of fond memories, memories that have been left unstirred since the arrival of your 2 sisters. Yes, partly I was lazy but mostly, I just couldn't find the time to blog regularly as before. However, It was good to 'catch up' with this blog again last night, amids my never ending work, good to revisit the first time you walked, your silly videos etc... the feeling is very much like the joy of stumbling upon a long forgotten, favorite toy chucked in a corner of your room. 

As you read out loud,  the (simple) blog titles while seated on my lap and making sense of the context surrounding the photos and videos... I realized that, we are a step closer to the day where you "know what went on in my life before I can remember stuffs"

Oh yes, we went to Marina barrage again, the last time was probably 2 years ago, on your 3rd birthday

Finally, your 2 little sisters can join us this time.

萱萱's latest craze

I don't remember knowing how to write or draw, or even holding a pencil properly when i was 3+ years old.
But here you are, one generation later, the little lass that is so
into scribbling and drawing on scraps of paper and the 3 doodle
boards around the house.
I like the way you come running to me with your assurance seeking
 questions:"daddy! This is the sun,right?!",while holding up your
> prized creation in full view; and walking away satisfied after
> getting my endorsment of your great work.

Since Rianne started walking, 萱萱 must be having mixed emotions about having a new playmate; and at the same time seeing the playmate smashing up her building blocks,  destroying the puzzle that she is painstakingly trying to complete or taking away something that dearly belongs to her.
Nevertheless, despite the occasional shouting and screaming matches, the sisters still love to play together, it great to see the bonding, interaction that is growing between the sisters.

Bringing them to the playground just got more challenging with Rianne running dangerously around the place with scant regards to her own well-being. So I have to sometimes trust the elder one to take care of herself while I keep close watch over Rianne.

Fish farm

Brought you gals to a fish farm today.

Nothing much to do there really, but good to expose you to somthing new.
We bought some fish food to feed the huge fishes, which pounced
aggressively at the meat whenever they touches the water. Next, we
tried catching some fishes, although we failed to get any, we had
great fun and that was the only time 姐姐 actually run about in the
farm. She was initially only interested in sitting in the swing.
